Z And is the prototype ZAND Symbiotic Star. The star is bright enough to be observed with small telescopes or
binoculars, especially when in outburst!

Analysis of 1373 observations from 1993-2020 shown in the light curve above reveal a period of 643.71d +/- 9d, which is in close agreement with that shown in the GCVS. I could find no evidence of the 758d period given in modern publications.
