Here is a selection of light curves for some of my favourite variable stars!  It's only a small selection, as I have over 400 stars on my current programme.  Most of the plots only go back as far as 1990, which is when I began to record the observations in an electronic format, although some do go back to the 1970's.   I eventually hope to have all my data (back to 1975) in a digital format, which will extend the light curves considerably....but it's a long, slow process!

Most of the light curves were created with MS Excel. Some of the really old ones were created using a plotting program called PLOTVAR written by my old friend Dave McAdam. This program no longer works on modern Windows platforms, but it did a good job at the time.  Any analysis done and shown on these pages was performed by PERANSO.

Most of the data shown is visual, obtained with the telescopes shown in this web site and from the one location - Birmingham, England.  Light curves for many of the magnetic CV's are CCD, both unfiltered and V-band.  These are obtained with both the AAVSO Sonoita Research Observatory 35cm SCT & 50cm Newtonian telescopes and the Bradford Robotic Telescope and the OU COAST telescope.
