V751 Cyg is a VY Scl type star, whose true nature was only confirmed when the deep fade of 1997 was observed.  This was the first ever low state to be observed visually and with CCD's.  The deepest visual magnitude recorded was 16.5 (shown above), but CCD's at Ouda station, Kyoto Japan followed the fade to magnitude 18.0.  V751 Cyg is associated with the Cygnus T1 association (IC 5070).
