Nova Vul 2024 was discovered by Kirill Sokolovsky, Stanislav Korotkiy, Nikolay Potapov, Sergei Ostapenko (NMW team) on July 31st, 2024.

The apparent 'chaotic' light curve is due to the highly reddened field in which the Nova is to be found, with large differences between V, Visual, CV and Tricolour Green.
