Nova Sge 2026 (V488 Sge) was discovered by Katie Barnhart, Kirill Sokolovsky, Darien Perla, Pragati Acharya, John Worley, Vallia Antoniou, and Elias Aydi (NMW-TexasTech transient survey) on 2026, August 25.127 UTC. And announced on CBAT Transient pages.

 

The above observations were made visually, and with remote telescopes Slooh and OU Pirate.
