V339 Del - Nova Del 2013

 

Discovered by Koichi Itagaki (Teppo-cho, Yamagata, Japan) on Aug 14.5 UT at magnitude 6.8C.  Cloud in the UK prevented me from observing until Aug 16.9 at 4.8 visual, thus I missed the initial rise over those two days.  The Nova was easily visible to the naked eye, even from my light polluted sky - the first northern sky naked eye Nova since Nova Aql 1999#2 (V1494 Aql)
