Nova Aql 2026 (V2104 Aql) was discovered by M. Ning and H. Lin (DCAP collaboration) on 2026 July 1.305 UT at magnitudes g = 14.45 and r = 12.53.  It’s initial designation was AT 2026rdg, and the discovery was announced on Atel 17867.  The discovery was made in a highly redenned area of Aquila.

The visual observations were made from Birmingham with  22cm and 51cm reflecors, and the CCD observations were obtained using the OU Pirate and Slooh telescopes.
