Nova Mensa 2022 was discovered by ATLAS on September 15.622 UT at ATLAS orange magnitude 13.688.  ASAS-SN had a negative observation of <15.835 shortly before on Sep 15.069 UT.

The nova peaked on Sep 19.936UT at magnitude 11.49g (ASAS-SN).  My first observation was made on Sep 29.34 at magnitude 11.938CV.

At a declination of -71d, this is the furthest south I have imaged in the southern hemisphere.  All images obtained by SLOOH Chile 2 telescope.
