AP CrB is an AM Her star (Polar) which has the second highest magnetic field known (after AR UMa). The star is being observed as part of the BAAVSS Long Term Polar Monitoring Programme, with the aims to detect activity in the general brightness level of the system. High magnetic field Polars are less active than those with a lower field, so monitoring of this system over a period of years is critical in establishing any long term variability.
The light curve is compiled from unfiltered CCD observations, obtained with the Bradford Robotic Telescope, and V-band observations obtained with the Sonoita Research Observatory (through the AAVSO)
